Overview

The bookkeeper is responsible for managing the financial transactions of the company with diverse business interests in both real estate and restaurant operations. This role requires a keen understanding of both property management finances and the fast-paced nature of the food service industry.

Real Estate Responsibilities
  • Record and reconcile rental income, security deposits, and property management fees.
  • Track lease agreements, tenant payments, and property maintenance expenses.
  • Prepare financial statements for multiple properties, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Handle property-related tax filings and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of property purchases, sales, and capital improvements.
Restaurant Operations Responsibilities
  • Record daily sales, expenses, and inventory purchases.
  • Reconcile point-of-sale (POS) data with bank deposits and merchant accounts.
  • Process payroll for restaurant staff, including tips and overtime calculations.
  • Track food and beverage costs to ensure profitability.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly profit margins and cost reports.
  • Assist in budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost control strategies.
General Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records for both business units.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports to management and external auditors.
  • Assist with tax preparation and compliance for both real estate and restaurant operations.
  • Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes.
Qualifications
