Job summary

Children International, Inc. in the Philippines is seeking an Assistant Manager – Accounting (SSU) to lead accounting, financial reporting, payroll oversight, and compliance across two entities during a two-year transition.

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Support Services, you will drive standardization of processes, controls and reporting, while building a strong, collaborative team. This role requires CPA, 7–10 years of experience, and strong leadership in a nonprofit multi-entity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy; CPA designation required.
• 7–10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Experience in supporting multi-entity financial operations and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Dynamics 365 preferred.
• Fluency in English and a local language; strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor annual work plans and budgets for SSU and two entities.
• Provide financial analysis to support planning, forecasting, and allocations.
• Monitor budgets and expenditures; advise on cost efficiency opportunities.
• Implement internal accounting controls and ensure policy compliance.
• Oversee monthly closes, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate payroll review, processing and related activities.
• Prepare and support audits and statutory filings.
• Assist in budgeting, savings, and variance analyses.
• Lead and develop the shared services accounting team.
