Job summary

van den Boom & Associates LLC, a life sciences focused firm, seeks an Accounting Manager to join the internal operations team and manage internal finance and accounting tasks. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Accounting, you will oversee Accounting Coordinators, own close, payroll, AP, and financial reporting, and lead finance projects.

The role emphasizes reviewing work, driving process improvements, and supporting system implementations, with cross‑geography payroll experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Progressive professional accounting experience, including reviewing others’ work (close, payroll, AP).
• Strong command of month-end close, payroll, accounts payable, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, complex formulas).
• Self-directed and hands-on, able to work with minimal supervision with multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and writing skills, with acute attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Review the work of Accounting Coordinators across day-to-day internal accounting tasks, providing coaching and feedback.
• Review the month-end close, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.
• Review payroll processing, including US payroll and Philippines payroll.
• Review accounts payable, ensuring transactions are properly recorded, approved, and paid.
