Villaraza & Angangco seeks an experienced Accounting Staff to join its Taguig City team. This full-time role covers all aspects of financial accounting and reporting, with duties spanning entries, reconciliations, tax returns, VAT, and ledger maintenance.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree, has at least two years’ experience, and is proficient in accounting software and spreadsheets. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Relevant university degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least two years of experience in a similar financial accounting role.
• Knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in using accounting software and spreadsheet tools.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare entries for cash receipts book and Journal vouchers of other cash transactions, check vouchers & ORs.
• Bank reconciliation.
• Assisting with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
• Monthly/Quarterly VAT/withholding taxes preparation/remittances.
• Prepare BIR Annual Information Return, and Annual BIR Audit.
• Updating the General Ledger.
• Payroll deduction reports (including loan remittances).
• Monthly depreciation expense.
• Monitor Client deposits, and analysis of Billed Advances to Clients.
• Monitor Advances to Partners-Others.
• Summarize reports of charges for Journal Entries.
• Prepares schedule for management reports (Standard Trial Balance, Comparative Balance Sheet, Comparative Income Statement, Advances, Accounts Receivable, etc.).
• Scanning and filing of check/journal vouchers.
• Perform all other related tasks that may be given from time to time.
