Thames International School Inc. is seeking an Accounting Associate to join our finance team.

The role focuses on accurate daily financial entries, reconciliations, and support for month-end close, with emphasis on GAAP/IFRS principles and data-driven insights. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of corporate accounting experience, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, and proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Xero, along with advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of proven experience in a corporate accounting role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Xero) and advanced Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, accuracy, integrity and ethical judgment.

Responsibilities

• Post daily journal entries and process AP/AR/payroll.
• Perform bank, credit card, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Assist month-end and year-end close and prepare accruals and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare tax filings (VAT, withholding tax, withholding certificates) and ensure internal controls.
• Review vendor invoices, resolve billing discrepancies, manage aging reports, and follow up on collections.
• Support internal and external auditors with documentation and schedules.
• Review timekeeping and process lecturers’ payroll.
