Job summary

Millennium Business Services, Inc. in City of Santa Rosa, Laguna, Philippines seeks an Accountant to prepare journal entries and close monthly books, and analyze balances. The role also involves preparing financial statements and notes, assisting auditors, and ensuring compliance with statutory reporting. A B.S. in Accounting plus 1–2 years in general accounting is required; external audit experience is a plus; strong communication and accounting software skills are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. Accounting/ Accountancy graduate required.
• 1–2 years experience in general accounting.
• Experience in external audit is an advantage.
• Experience in audit or accounting firm is an advantage.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and perform monthly closing of accounts.
• Analyze account balances (booked in the correct month, accuracy of balances etc.).
• Prepare monthly financial statements and account details, and gather support documents.
• Resolve issues with respect to auditor's requirements.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and related notes.
