Job Description: Global Financial Reporting Analyst – B23 Johnson & Johnson Global Services performs select functional work in a consistent manner across regions and sectors using simplified, standardized end-to-end processes and innovative technology.
The Global Financial Reporting team supports compliant, accurate, and timely financial reporting by bringing together CFIN platform operations, data quality, reconciliations, controls, and reporting activities into one integrated global team.
Position Summary The Global Financial Reporting Associate will support assigned financial reporting, reconciliation, data validation, and close-related activities under the guidance of senior team members. This entry-level role is responsible for helping ensure financial data is complete, accurate, properly documented, and submitted on time across assigned processes, platforms, and legal entities. The role will work with Global Services operational teams, regional ATR teams, Finance Data Management, Data Quality, Compliance, technology partners, and business stakeholders to execute routine financial reporting activities, support issue investigation, prepare required documentation, and contribute to process stability and continuous improvement.
Be compliant with applicable laws and regulations and follow guidelines in the J&J Credo. Execute assigned activities in accordance with global policies, worldwide procedures, internal controls, audit requirements, SOX controls, and service level commitments. Prepare and organize supporting evidence for assigned reconciliations, journal entries, reporting activities, and control requirements. Identify unusual items, missing documentation, potential data issues, or process exceptions and escalating exceptions promptly for review and resolution.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to obtain required inputs, clarify routine reporting items, and follow up on pending information needed for assigned deliverables. Work with senior team members, SMEs, analysts, operational teams, technology partners, Data Quality, Finance Data Management, Compliance, and regional teams on assigned process and operational matters. Provide clear and timely status updates on assigned tasks, issues, and dependencies. Communicate professionally and ask timely questions to support accurate execution and effective issue resolution.
Support process improvement, standardization, automation, data quality, and reporting reliability initiatives as assigned. Help document process steps, recurring issues, lessons learned, and improvement opportunities. Contribute observations and practical suggestions to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and strengthen documentation quality.
Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. CPA, CMA, MBA, or other relevant finance certification is an advantage but not required.
At least 1 year of professional experience in accounting, finance operations, account-to-report, general ledger, reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, audit, shared services, or related finance work; fresh graduates with strong internship or academic foundation may be considered. Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, journal entries, reconciliations, and close activities. Ability to review financial data, perform basic variance checks, follow documented procedures, and escalating exceptions appropriately. Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and commitment to accuracy and compliance. Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage assigned tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively during close periods with guidance. Willingness to learn new processes, tools, systems, and technologies.
Exposure to a Global Account-to-Report function, shared service center, multinational corporation, or BPO environment. Exposure to SAP, SAP Central Finance, BlackLine, BRAVO, TM1, Analysis for Office, or other ERP and reporting tools is preferred. Basic knowledge of US GAAP, SOX, internal controls, or audit requirements is an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft applications. Interest in digital tools, automation, reporting, process improvement, and data quality. Ability to adapt to new tasks, ask questions, and work through ambiguity with support from senior team members.
Location: Taguig City, National Capital Region, Philippines Willing to work on night shift or shifting schedules as required to support global assignments across Americas, EMEA, and Asia. Willing to work in a hybrid setup and report onsite as required. Participate in regional, global, or cross-functional duties as assigned.
