Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and taxation, with a focus on Australian tax laws.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems like Jobpac, Xero, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and client interaction skills.

Responsibilities

  • Australian Taxation Compliance: Ensure compliance with Australian taxation laws and regulations, including GST, income tax, and payroll tax. Prepare and file BAS, IAS, and Payroll Tax returns accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements. Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • ERP System Management: Utilize ERP systems such as Jobpac, Xero, or similar software to manage financial data, streamline accounting processes, and generate reports for clients.
  • Client Liaison: Interact with clients to gather financial information, answer queries, and provide exceptional client service. Offer expert advice on financial matters.
  • Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, efficiency improvements, and areas for financial growth.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation to facilitate audits and compliance checks.
  • Continual Learning: Stay up-to-date with changes in Australian taxation laws and regulations. Attend relevant training sessions or courses to enhance knowledge.
