Overview
The AC Installer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The role requires expertise in handling HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems, ensuring proper installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Install air conditioning units, ducts, and refrigeration systems based on customer specifications and blueprints.
- Inspect and assess AC systems to determine the proper installation or repair requirements.
- Test systems for functionality and troubleshoot issues, ensuring systems run efficiently.
- Provide guidance on operating and maintaining HVAC systems to customers.
- Adhere to all safety standards, codes, and regulations during installation.
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on existing systems.
- Communicate effectively with customers to address concerns and provide accurate information.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and services provided.
- Order and manage inventory of parts and equipment necessary for installations and repairs.
- Work as part of a team, collaborating with other technicians, contractors, or engineers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in HVAC or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, or repair.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in HVAC units.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and manuals.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Physical stamina to work in varying environments, including outdoors and in confined spaces.
