Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly driven and intellectually curious AI Engineer Intern to join our innovative team. This role is perfect for someone passionateabout bridging the gap between theoretical AI/ML research and practical businessapplications. You will be instrumental in exploring, validating, and helping to bringAI-powered features to life that directly address key challenges faced by marketplacesellers. Responsibilities:

• AI Model Landscape Analysis: Research and evaluate various types of AI/MLmodels (e.g., NLP models like Transformers, LLMs, topic modeling, recommendationsystems, computer vision models, traditional ML algorithms) for their suitabilityacross different business functions.
• Use Case Mapping: Systematically identify and map appropriate AI models tospecific e-commerce business challenges, such as:
  • Keyword Research & Recommendations: Generating relevant keywords,optimizing search performance.
  • Listing Content Optimization: Enhancing product descriptions, titles, andimages using AI (e.g., for SEO, conversion).
  • Customer Behavior Prediction.
• Feasibility & Limitation Assessment: Understand the strengths, weaknesses,data requirements, and computational feasibility of different models for real-worldapplication.
• Proof-of-Concept (PoC) Execution: Develop and execute small-scaleProof-of-Concepts (PoCs) to validate the technical feasibility and potential impactof selected AI models for specific use cases.
• Tool & Framework Exploration: Investigate existing AI tools, APIs, andopen-source frameworks that can be leveraged for these use cases.
• Collaborative Implementation Support: Work closely with our Product andFullstack Tech team to provide insights and support during the potentialimplementation phases of AI features, ensuring a smooth transition from research toproduction.
• Documentation & Presentation: Summarize findings, create clear reports, andpotentially present recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• Foundational AI/ML Knowledge:
  • Basic Understanding of ML Concepts: Supervised vs. unsupervised learning,classification, regression, clustering, dimensionality reduction.
  • Familiarity with Core AI Model Types: Neural Networks, Transformers (forNLP), Recommendation Systems (e.g., collaborative filtering, content-based),traditional ML algorithms (e.g., tree-based models).
  • Understanding of NLP Basics.
  • Awareness of Computer Vision Basics.
• Technical Aptitude:
  • Proficiency in Python: The primary language for AI/ML development. Thisis crucial for exploring models and potentially running small proofs-of-concept.
  • Familiarity with ML Libraries: Exposure to libraries likeTensorFlow/PyTorch (for understanding model architectures), scikit-learn,Hugging Face Transformers (for NLP).
  • Data Handling: Basic skills in Pandas and NumPy for data manipulationduring research.
  • Research Tools: Ability to navigate and understand academic papers,technical blogs, and documentation.
  • Familiarity with Hugging Face, Amazon Bedrock, GCP Vertex AI or similar techstacks.
• Analytical & Critical Thinking:
  • Strong Research Skills: Ability to independently find, synthesize, andevaluate information from various sources.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Capacity to break down complex business problemsand think about how AI can provide solutions.
  • Curiosity & Eagerness to Learn: AI is rapidly evolving, so a strongdesire to keep up with new advancements is key.
• Communication Skills:
  • Excellent Written Communication: To document research findings clearlyand concisely.
  • Good Verbal Communication: To articulate ideas and recommendationseffectively.
• Domain Interest (Nice-to-Have but Highly Beneficial).
• Interest in e-commerce, digital marketing, SEO, and marketplace dynamics. This willhelp them understand the business context quickly.
