Dr. Jesus C. Delgado Memorial Hospital is seeking a 2D Echocardiography Technologist to provide ultrasound services within the department. You will perform 2D echocardiography, prepare reports, and ensure image quality while maintaining safety standards and infection control.
The role requires licensure with PRC, training in ultrasound, and experience with HIS/RIS systems to support accurate documentation and coordinated patient care.
Under the general supervision of the chief radiologic technologist, the 2D echo technologist provides service to the activities of the ultrasound section, which include the scanning of patients for 2D echo procedures and the preparation of reports. Monitor ultrasound items consumable. He/she must perform his/her duty within the safety requirements of the hospital and Department of Health (DOH).
Perform 2D Echocardiography and assist with general ultrasound procedures.
Prepare and operate ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functionality and image quality.
Interview and prepare patients, providing pre-procedure instructions and ensuring accurate documentation.
Conduct ultrasound and bedside procedures in accordance with hospital standards and protocols.
Record, process, and encode examination results for physician interpretation and release.
Coordinate with cardiologists, radiologists, nursing units, and other departments for efficient patient care.
Manage patient inquiries through phone, text, and messaging platforms.
Maintain ultrasound equipment, clean probes after each procedure, and ensure infection control standards.
Monitor and replenish departmental supplies and maintain organized records for regulatory inspections.
Handle patient records and information in compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).
Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology (BSRT) or any other related Medical/Healthcare course
Post-graduate diploma in 2D echocardiography.
Required to have passed the licensure examination given by PRC and processes valid Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) card.
Must have sufficient training in ultrasound and special procedures.
Experience with hospital information system (HIS) and radiology information system (RIS) or computer literate.
