A distribution company is looking for a Warehouse Order Puller in Ayacucho, Peru. The individual will be responsible for efficiently loading delivery trucks and performing various warehouse tasks. The role requires a high school diploma, and candidates must be comfortable with warehouse equipment and able to work both independently and as part of a team. This is a full-time entry-level position offering a dynamic working environment within the food and beverage services industry.

Warehouse Order Puller – Gulf Distributing Holdings LLC

Job Summary: The Warehouse Order Pullers are responsible for efficient, safe, and accurate loading of the delivery trucks and performing the assigned warehouse maintenance tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Must report to work on time and clock in and out properly.
• Keep all warehouse load areas and grounds clean. Place product on hand truck or dolly. Fill racks, push/pull pallets and load appropriate company products.
• Prior to starting the loading process, review the total quantity to be pulled and the truck it is to go on. Discuss any space concerns with the Load Crew Manager.
• Build loads for each order in the most efficient manner.
• Pull and load the exact amounts given through the voice picking system or system-generated pick sheets.
• Ensure loads are completed accurately and neatly.
• Be aware of code dates and load the oldest product first.
• Visually inspect all cases loaded to ensure they are in saleable condition.
• Load all carts/pallets onto appropriate route truck.
• Load the product on each truck properly to prevent damage.
• Clean all areas before leaving at the end of your shift, keeping work area clean.
• Clear the pick area of debris and stretch wrap at the end of the truck loading process each night.
• Prior to the end of your shift each night ensure all empty pallets are removed from the pick area and safely stored.
• Report any accidents to manager on duty immediately.
• Maintain open and clear communications with the owners, managers, and other employees of the company.
• Obtain approval from the Warehouse Manager prior to working more than your regular schedule.
• Dress in uniform and maintain your personal appearance in a professional manner and according to company policy.
• Conduct all activities within the guidelines of all company policies and procedures.
• Conduct all activities in accordance with the local, state, and federal liquor control regulations.
• Perform all work activities in accordance with the safe work practices, policies, and procedures.
• Adhere to all established inventory control procedures and practices.
• Adapt to any new responsibilities required by the Warehouse Manager and Load Crew Manager.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma.
• Previous use of warehouse equipment including walkie rider, pallet jack, forklift, scanners, etc.
• Highly motivated to reach goals.
• Comfortable working as a team or alone.
• Access to reliable transportation; if driving an automobile while on company business, must possess a valid driver’s license in the state of residence and auto insurance. Must be able to pass a background check, MVR, and drug screen.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with internal and external individuals, including other professionals in the community.
• Work effectively as a member of the team.
• Effectively communicate.
• Manage time and work effectively with or without supervision.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

• Constant (67-100% of time) required to walk, talk, and hear; stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, and controls; and reach with hands and arms.
• Constant (67-100% of time) required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently (34-66% of time) required specific vision abilities: close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
• Constant (67-100% of time) exposure to moving mechanical equipment and fumes or airborne particles. Noise level is usually quiet.
• Occasionally (more than 10%) weekend and/or overtime work.
