The Vehicle Dismantling Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily dismantling operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant processing of end-of-life vehicles (ELVs). This role manages production staff, monitors workflow, maintains quality standards, and ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily vehicle dismantling and depollution activities
- Assign tasks to dismantling technicians and yard staff to meet production targets
- Ensure proper depollution of vehicles (fluids, batteries, airbags, hazardous materials)
- Monitor dismantling processes to maximize parts recovery and minimize waste
- Enforce workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times
- Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks
- Inspect tools, equipment, and machinery to ensure safe operation
- Maintain accurate production records, inventory logs, and compliance documentation
- Identify and resolve operational issues and workflow bottlenecks
- Train new employees on dismantling procedures, safety standards, and equipment use
- Coordinate with inventory, sales, and logistics teams to prioritize dismantling schedules
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and disposal of materials and recovered parts
- Support audits and inspections related to environmental, safety compliance and part quality
Qualifications & Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in vehicle dismantling, recycling, automotive repair, or similar operations
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, components, and dismantling techniques
- Familiarity with environmental regulations related to ELV processing
- Ability to read and interpret production schedules and safety procedures
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent knowledge of health, safety, and environmental practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Basic computer skills for reporting and inventory tracking
