Located 800 km northeast of Lima, Peru, Yanacocha is South America’s largest gold mine. The WTP Project consists of two of the largest acid water treatment plants in South America (the West one with a capacity of 3,000 m³/hour and the East one with 2,700 m³/hour). Early works are currently being performed on site, preparing the permanent platforms and laydown areas for the East and West plants, in addition to the Class 2 estimate, Level 3 schedule and Execution Plan.

Job Summary

In this role, you will monitor and organize subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project with multiple stakeholder’s involvement, through the coordination and instruction of subcontractor’s management staff. Your field supervision will help ensure operations are planned to coincide with overall established schedules and that work methods are planned and executed safely.

Major Responsibilities

• Monitoring and organizing subcontractor activities, through coordination and instruction of subcontractor’s management staff within the area of responsibility.
• Role supporting on mid-size projects of medium to high complexity with multiple stakeholders’ involvement.
• Monitoring subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements.
• Reviewing subcontractor construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.
• Coordinating the construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules.
• Monitoring installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements.
• Enforcing policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management.
• Supporting Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
• Coordinating engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.
• Coordinating with Design on constructability issues.

Education and Experience Requirements

Requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) related to the position and 8–10 years of relevant experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of Navisworks and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge in planning tools (3WLA).
• Knowledge of ASME B 31.3 and ASME B 31.4.
• Knowledge in welding and cutting processes.
• Knowledge in NFPA 24.
