Job summary

FullStack is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (GCP) to join our talent network for flexible, project-based work with U.S. clients. You'll integrate into their teams daily, working with designers and engineers to ensure reliable, scalable production systems.

You will own incident response, on-call operations, and observability, leveraging GCP services and modern monitoring stacks. Strong scripting and Docker/CI-CD are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in site reliability, infrastructure, or backend engineering.
• Advanced English required and a four-year degree.
• Experience owning production reliability and on-call operations.
• Strong GCP infrastructure know-how including Cloud Run/SQL/GCS.
• Proven monitoring/observability with Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog or similar.
• Scripting in Python or Bash; Docker and CI/CD experience.
• SQL optimization for PostgreSQL and capacity planning.
• IaC with Terraform and possible edge/on-site hardware exposure.
• Agile/Scrum experience and willingness to own your work.

The Opportunity

Join our talent network and connect with U.S. clients for flexible, project-based development work as a Site Reliability Engineer (GCP).

• You will integrate directly into our client's team and work alongside their existing designers and engineers on a daily basis.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of professional experience in site reliability engineering, infrastructure engineering, or backend engineering.
• Advanced English is required.
• Successful completion of a four-year college degree is required.
• Experience owning production reliability, incident response, on-call operations, and service availability.
• Strong background with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure, including Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Google Cloud Storage (GCS), compute, networking, and managed services.
• Proven experience building and improving monitoring, alerting, and observability systems using tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, Datadog, or similar platforms.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Proven experience with Docker, containerized workloads, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience improving reliability through root cause analysis, incident prevention, blameless postmortems, and measurable reliability metrics.
• Strong background optimizing PostgreSQL performance, including connection pooling, query optimization, indexing, read replicas, and capacity planning.
• Experience improving infrastructure scalability, performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
• Familiarity with automating incident response and developing or integrating AI agents for alert triage and auto-remediation.
• Experience supporting ML or data infrastructure, including training pipelines and model monitoring, is a plus.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code using Terraform or similar tools is a plus.
• Experience supporting physical or IoT systems, edge devices, cameras, or on-site hardware is a plus.
• Familiarity with bare-metal infrastructure, hardware monitoring, redundancy, failover, and high availability is a plus.
• Ability to work through new and difficult issues and contribute to libraries as needed.
• Ability to create and maintain continuous integration and delivery of applications.
• Forensic attention to detail.
• A positive mindset and a can-do attitude.
• Experience working on Agile/Scrum teams.
• Meaningful experience working on large, complex systems.
