Job summary

Zauner Anlagentechnik GmbH in Austria is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to review, draft and negotiate contracts for national and international projects. You will apply your legal expertise from the outset to minimize risk and drive project success.

You will conduct legal research, support project teams during negotiations, and contribute to contract templates and standards. Fluent German and English, plus strong negotiation skills, are essential.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in Law
• At least 5 years of experience in civil/contract law
• Experience with national and international project contracts
• Excellent negotiation and drafting skills

Responsibilities

• Independently review, draft, and amend contracts and other legal documents
• Conduct national and international legal research and develop practical legal solutions

Review contracts, negotiate agreements, minimise risks, and drive projects to success. As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will support national and international industrial plant construction projects from the very beginning and apply your legal expertise where it makes the greatest impact.

• independently review, draft, and amend contracts as well as other legal documents
• conduct national and international legal research and develop practical legal solutions
• provide legal support to our project teams during contract negotiations in national and international project business
• provide legal guidance in claims and contract change management
• collaborate with external legal advisors and law firms
• support legal proceedings and contribute to the further development and maintenance of contract templates and legal standards
• Completed degree in Law
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in civil law, particularly contract law
• Sound knowledge of national civil law, especially contract law, and an interest in international legal matters
• Professional proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken
• Strong negotiation skills combined with a structured, analytical, and solution-oriented way of working

Compensation

We would like to point out that the collective agreement minimum salary under the Austrian Metal Industry Collective Agreement is EUR 3.893,09 gross per month. The actual salary for this position ranges between EUR 4.500 and EUR 5.200 gross per month, depending on qualifications and professional experience.
