Ausenco Peru is seeking a Lead Process Engineer to drive the development of process engineering for concentrator projects. You will lead design activities, oversee deliverables, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to optimize performance and sustainability on complex mining projects.

The role requires a Bachelor in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering, 15+ years in mining, and strong leadership with English fluency. Hybrid work model is available, with focus on technical excellence.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in the mining industry, preferably gold, copper and polymetallic.
• Experience in mining & metallurgical projects including plant design.
• Knowledge of metallurgical testwork design, planning and interpretation.
• Understanding of leaching technologies and configurations.
• Experience with gold or other metals leaching is desirable.
• Ability to interpret mineralogical characteristics and impact on metallurgical performance.
• Proven ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Experience developing technical proposals and evaluating alternatives.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and presentations with internal and external teams.
• Leadership, teamwork and effective communication. Fluency in English.

As a Lead Process Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and leadership of process engineering for concentrator projects, actively contributing across different stages of the project lifecycle.

About the rol:

• Lead the development of process engineering solutions, from conceptual stages through detailed design, ensuring technical quality and alignment with project objectives.
• Define design criteria, select processing technologies, and develop process configurations focused on operational efficiency and sustainability.
• Oversee and validate key discipline deliverables, ensuring compliance with standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate process engineering into the overall project development.
• Contribute to technical and economic evaluations, supporting decision-making by considering performance, risks, and optimization opportunities.
• Lead and mentor the process team, fostering technical development and excellence in execution.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in the mining industry, ideally in gold, copper and polymetallic mining.
• Proven experience in mining & metallurgical projects, including plant design and participation in engineering stages (conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering).
• Knowledge of the design, planning, and interpretation of metallurgical testwork.
• Understanding of the main leaching technologies and configurations (heaps, dumps, etc.).
• Experience in gold or other metals leaching is desirable.
• Ability to interpret mineralogical characteristics and their impact on metallurgical performance.
• Skill in identifying process optimization opportunities.
• Knowledge in the development of technical proposals and evaluation of alternatives.
• Experience interacting with internal and external stakeholders, including technical support and presentations.
• Strong motivation for continuous learning and adoption of new technologies or work methodologies.
• Leadership skills, teamwork, and effective communication.
• Fluency in English is a must.
