Aberfoyle Hub Primary School is seeking an OSHC/Vacation Care Director to lead our Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) and Vacation Care programs. Aberfoyle Hub Primary School is a Reception - Year 6 Department for Education school, with students enrolled from a range of cultural backgrounds, as well as Students with a Disability (SWD) and Children in Care (CIC).
Our School is seeking a passionate and experienced Director of OSHC to lead our thriving Outside School Hours Care service for students in Reception to Year 6. The Director of OSHC will be responsible to the school Governing Council for the strategic leadership, management and coordination of the School's OSHC program.
This role encompasses full management of both before and after school care, as well as comprehensive vacation care programs during all school holidays.
The Director will lead and oversee the program's daily operations, staff management, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and strategic planning to ensure a safe, inclusive, engaging and nurturing environment for all children.
The Director will be required to work flexible hours in Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care settings with the support of an experienced team of OSHC Educators.
Oversee the planning, delivery, and evaluation of OSHC and Vacation Care programs in line with National Quality Standards (NQS) and My Time, Our Place framework.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children and staff, maintaining a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Lead, mentor, and support a team of educators, fostering professional growth and positive relationships.
Liaise and communicate effectively with families, school staff, and the broader community.
Manage administrative tasks including enrolments, staffing, budgeting, and compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
Ensure documentation, records, and reporting meet service and legislative requirements.
Ensure the philosophy, policies and procedures of the service are upheld, implemented and reviewed regularly to meet relevant requirements.
Previous experience in an OSHC, Vacation Care, or similar childcare leadership role.
Comprehensive knowledge of the National Quality Framework and relevant regulatory requirements.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and a current approved first aid qualification, anaphylaxis management training and emergency asthma management training as listed on the ACECQA website.
Highly developed problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
Experience with the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), Child Care Subsidy System (CCSS) and the Xplor management system or similar management system.
Current Driver's License.
A Diploma or Degree level qualification as approved by ACECQA.
A current approved first aid qualification, anaphylaxis management training and emergency asthma management training as listed on the ACECQA website.
Current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC).
Current (or ability to obtain) Working With Children Check (WWCC) by the Department for Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI) Screening Unit.
The successful application will be expected to facilitate and attend out of hours OSHC Advisory Committee meetings and OSHC Staff meetings and is also invited to attend Governing Council meetings.
