Operations Manager - Community Aged Care

About the role:

In this new position, you will work alongside our General Manager to ensure community aged care services across Queensland are delivered with quality, consistency and a strong person‑centred focus. You will be accountable for providing operational oversight and direction to Lifestyle Coordinators and service hubs, embedding consistent practices, driving continuous improvement and ensuring strong financial, quality and compliance outcomes aligned with Carinity’s mission and values.

Your day‑to‑day will involve:

  • Operational leadership and guidance to Lifestyle Coordinators to ensure consistent, high‑quality service delivery across all community aged care hubs
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives, including operational projects, system enhancements and change implementation
  • Overseeing quality, compliance and audit activities to ensure services meet or exceed Aged Care Quality Standards and legislative requirements
  • Monitoring operational and financial performance, coaching Lifestyle Coordinators to address risks, gaps and corrective actions
  • Conducting regular site visits to support service hubs, strengthen practice and ensure alignment with organisational standards
  • Leading workforce and operational systems such as scheduling, resource allocation, workforce planning and business continuity readiness

About you:

You are an experienced operational leader with a genuine passion for supporting people and communities through high‑quality aged care, home support or NDIS services. You lead collaboratively, build strong relationships across geographically dispersed teams, and inspire others to deliver person‑centred care that is both compliant and financially sustainable. Confident leading across multiple sites, you create a culture of accountability and performance while remaining hands‑on, solutions‑focused and guided by strong values as you balance day‑to‑day operations with strategic priorities.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Health, Aged Care, Community Services, Business or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior operational leadership role within community, home care or NDIS services
  • Strong knowledge of aged care legislation, Aged Care Quality Standards and compliance requirements under the Aged Care Act 2024
  • Proven experience leading quality improvement, audits, risk management and service excellence initiatives
  • Strong financial acumen with experience monitoring budgets and operational performance
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Australian Driver’s Licence
