An international nonprofit organization seeks a Volunteer / Intern as a Fundraising & Development Coordinator in Arequipa, Peru. This role involves leading fundraising strategies, building relationships with partners, and supporting grant writing initiatives. Role Overview

As the Fundraising & Development Coordinator, you will lead strategy to secure funding, build relationships with international orgs, support grant apps, grow sponsor/membership base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement creative, forward‑thinking fundraising strategies that target local and international donors.
  • Identify and contact potential international partners, grant‑makers, and NGOs to build lasting collaborations and funding opportunities.
  • Research and support grant writing initiatives, helping prepare compelling applications and proposals.
  • Collaborate with Marketing & Communications to design high‑impact content and materials for campaigns and donor outreach.
  • Maintain regular, meaningful communication with current and prospective sponsors, donors, and partners.
  • Attend regular team meetings and contribute to the strategic direction of Intiwawa’s development efforts.
Requirements
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
  • Previous experience in fundraising, development, or donor relations—especially in NGO or nonprofit setting.
  • Strong written communication and storytelling skills, especially for grant writing and donor outreach.
  • Creativity and resourcefulness in identifying new fundraising channels and approaches.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
