The rooftop of Hyde Melbourne Place is transformed with warm tones, long tables, generous spaces for relaxed communal dining and an all-new Mediterranean-inspired food and beverage menu.

The Food & Beverage Duty Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily restaurant and bar operations, leading service periods, and supporting the team to deliver consistent, high-quality experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage day-to-day restaurant and bar operations during shifts
  • Ensure exceptional guest service and handle guest feedback professionally
  • Supervise, train and motivate front‑of‑house team members
  • Maintain service, presentation and brand standards at all times
  • Ensure compliance with OH&S, food safety and responsible service of alcohol requirements
  • Support stock control, cash handling and daily reporting
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and hotel teams
  • Support with hotel conference and events as required
About You
  • Previous experience in a Food & Beverage Supervisor or Duty Manager role
  • Strong leadership skills with a hands‑on approach to service
  • Passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and organised in a fast‑paced environment
  • Availability to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays
