Job summary

Bluelight is seeking an experienced DevOps/SRE professional to join our expanding consultancy. You will own cloud infrastructure design and operation, focusing on secure, scalable deployments across AWS services, with IaC, modern CI/CD, and robust monitoring.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable services, implement rollback drills, and support SOC 2 audits while promoting best practices and ownership in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or DevSecOps roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, S3).
• Experience operating Aurora/PostgreSQL in production with multi-AZ failover, read replicas, and replica lag monitoring.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Experience with Docker and ECS/Fargate for containerization/orchestration.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with deployment automation and rollback drills.
• Experience with monitoring/logging/observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch).
• Experience with load testing (k6) and latency/SLO budgeting.
• Security-first mindset: vulnerability scanning, secrets management, compliance/hardening.
• Experience with SOC 2 audit evidence and client security reviews.
• Incident response, on-call rotations, and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage robust DevOps/SRE practices for enterprise clients.
• Operate and optimize AWS-based infrastructure (ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, S3, etc.).
• Build and maintain IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Automate deployments with reliable rollback strategies and drills.
• Implement and monitor observability tooling and incident response processes.
• Support SOC 2 audits and client security reviews.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure security-first delivery and adherence to best practices.
