Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is seeking a Design Systems Designer to own how client design systems are built. You will translate brands and reference sites into a scalable system of tokens, variables, modes, and core components that a build pipeline can execute with precision.

You will manage token architecture in Figma, ship reusable component libraries across client sites, and document the system so developers and automated pipelines can work without questions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing for the web with real design system work in portfolio.
• Fluency in Figma variables, component properties, auto layout, and variants.
• Portfolio showing work across clients with consistent underlying rigor.
• Strong English and overlap with US business hours.

You take a brand and a few reference sites, then extract the pattern into a working system: tokens, variables, modes, and core components a build pipeline can execute without asking you questions.
