Job summary

Alpha Philindo Solution Inc. is seeking a Database Engineer to design, operate, and improve relational and document database environments across development and production.

You will collaborate with application, cloud, security, and data teams to establish reliable data stores. Responsibilities include schema review, capacity planning, performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability, access controls, automation, monitoring, and incident response while ensuring safe and efficient data

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of hands-on database engineering, administration, or platform experience.
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL or MySQL internals, indexing, execution plans, locks, and transactions.
• Experience designing backup, point-in-time recovery, replication, and high-availability strategies.
• Proven ability to diagnose slow queries, resource contention, connection issues, and production incidents.
• Experience operating managed databases on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Ability to automate provisioning and maintenance with Python, shell scripting, or infrastructure as code.
• Strong understanding of encryption, secrets, least privilege, auditing, and database security controls.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools for performance, capacity, and availability.
• Knowledge of Redis, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, or another non-relational platform is an advantage.
• Strong documentation, change management, incident communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.
