We are looking for a skilled Chief Host Developer to become part of our team. This position involves playing a key role in crafting and improving essential mainframe solutions that underpin core banking functions. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will help deliver dependable and efficient applications that align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Engage in the creation and enhancement of core banking systems that drive crucial business operations


• Provide corrective, adaptive, and progressive maintenance for mission-critical systems with stringent availability requirements


• Analyze and resolve production issues to reduce disruptions to banking services


• Support functional, integration, and certification testing to guarantee system reliability before rollout

Requirements

• At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in software development or related fields


• A minimum of 2 years of experience leading and supervising development teams


• Hands-on experience in COBOL-based application development on IBM z/OS


• Strong skills in batch processing programming using JCL


• Proficiency in building transactional applications with CICS


• Comprehensive knowledge of IBM Db2 and SQL databases for data handling and query execution


• Practical expertise in AI Solution Engineering for creating and deploying AI-driven functionalities in enterprise environments


• Experience in Gen AI Application Development for building solutions powered by generative AI technologies


• Hands-on involvement in Gen AI Assisted Development to streamline coding, testing, and delivery processes


• Competence in Prompt Engineering to craft precise, effective, and optimized prompts for AI tools


• Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish at a B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Advanced proficiency in COBOL for managing and improving legacy mission‑critical systems


• Broader experience with CICS for developing and maintaining transactional systems


• Extensive knowledge of JCL for automating and managing batch processing operations


• Deep expertise in DB2 for optimizing database performance and handling large-scale data
