Ellis Island Casino is seeking an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to oversee daily operations across multiple casual dining venues in Las Vegas. The role emphasizes service quality, staff development, and cost control to drive guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have extensive F&B management experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to coach a diverse team in a busy environment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Formación

  • Extensive knowledge of front and back of house operations.
  • At least 5 years of management experience in a high-volume restaurant operation.
  • Previous management experience in a restaurant or food environment.
  • Ability to lead diverse teams, coach for success, and communicate effectively.
  • Must be over 21 and able to obtain Nevada Health Card, TAM Card, and Gaming Registration.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsabilidades

  • Oversee daily operations of multiple restaurants, ensuring exceptional service and quality.
  • Support restaurant managers in implementing operational standards, staff training, and performance evaluations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering to minimize waste and control costs.
  • Participate in weekly inventory counts to maintain stock accuracy.
  • Help manage food and beverage budgets and analyze financial reports.
  • Address guest feedback and service issues promptly to maintain a positive dining experience.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional campaigns and events.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations across all restaurants.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative team environment and encourage employee engagement and growth.
  • Assist in scheduling staff and ensure adequate coverage during peak times.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Description

The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager will play a vital role in managing daily operations across multiple casual dining venues. This position focuses on maintaining high standards of service, ensuring operational efficiency, and supporting staff development. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong background in food and beverage management.

Location

In-person in Las Vegas, NV, 89109: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director of Food and Beverage in overseeing daily operations of multiple restaurants, ensuring exceptional service and quality.
  • Support restaurant managers in implementing operational standards, staff training, and performance evaluations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to minimize waste and control costs.
  • Participate in weekly inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels of food and supplies, ensuring efficient restaurant operations.
  • Help manage food and beverage budgets, analyze financial reports, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Address guest feedback and service issues promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to help develop promotional campaigns and special events.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations across all restaurants.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, encouraging employee engagement and growth.
  • Assist in scheduling staff and ensuring adequate coverage during peak times.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet operational needs, as necessary.
Skills / Experience
  • Must have extensive food and beverage knowledge in both the front and back of house operations.
  • Prefer 5 years' experience in a management position in a high volume, restaurant operation.
  • Must have previous management experience in a restaurant or food environment.
  • Must have leadership experience with groups of diverse people of varying skills, educational levels, cultural backgrounds, and experience.
  • Must have a positive, upbeat attitude and be willing to put our guests first.
  • Must be able to coach team members for success.
  • The applicant must be a good communicator and must be administratively sound.
  • Must be over 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain a Nevada Health Card.
  • Must be able to obtain a Nevada TAM Card.
  • Must be able to obtain a Nevada Gaming Registration Card.
  • The ability to submit to a background check and drug test is required.
Bonus Skills / Experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, with strong communication skills to effectively engage with our diverse team and guests.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a casino setting is preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Work indoors and move throughout the property, lift, bend/kneel & work outdoors less than 25% of the time, hearing, vision, speech, and literacy (critical).
  • Ability to work in environments that are smoky, noisy, hot, cold, or humid.
  • Must be able to stand and walk swiftly for extended periods of time, bend to obtain items near the floor, carry service trays over their head, and lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
