Welding Technician

As a Welding Technician, you will be responsible for performing welding and related tasks in a safe and efficient manner. You will use various welding techniques to join, fabricate, and repair metal components according to blueprints and specifications. This role requires experience in welding and the ability to interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks using various techniques including MIG, TIG, stick, and flux‑cored welding
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and instructions to determine the appropriate welding process
• Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, fitting, and aligning parts
• Set up and maintain welding equipment
• Inspect completed welds for quality assurance
• Maintain a safe work environment by following safety protocols and procedures
• Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time
• Troubleshoot issues with equipment or materials as needed

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Welder or Welding Technician (at least 2 years preferred)
• Knowledge of different welding techniques including MIG, TIG, stick, and flux‑cored welding
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
• Attention to detail with strong problem‑solving skills
• Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Willingness to work in physically demanding conditions (standing for long periods of time, working in confined spaces)
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Valid work visa or eligibility for visa sponsorship

Location: Muscat (open to all nationalities)

Salary: $1800/month (negotiable based on experience)
