BaseDynamics in Salalah, Oman seeks a Surveyor Assistant to join our outdoor team. You will support the lead surveyor in field surveys, data collection, and report preparation, while maintaining surveying equipment with care.

The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in various weather conditions. Training will be provided on-site, with opportunities to learn advanced surveying techniques.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; surveying certification preferred.
• Experience as surveyor assistant is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with surveying terminology and field equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead surveyor in field surveys to collect data on boundaries and topography.
• Set up and operate surveying equipment such as total stations and GPS receivers.
• Record measurements accurately using traditional methods or software.
• Prepare survey reports for clients or project managers.
• Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment and field notes.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and hardworking Surveyor Assistant to join our team in Salalah Oman The ideal candidate will have a passion for working outdoors and a strong interest in surveying and land measurement As a Surveyor Assistant you will work closely with the lead surveyor to assist in collecting and analyzing data preparing reports and maintaining equipment

Responsibilities

• Assisting the lead surveyor in conducting field surveys to collect data on land boundaries topography and other features
• Setting up and operating surveying equipment such as total stations GPS receivers and levels
• Recording measurements and data accurately using traditional methods or computer software
• Conducting research to locate property boundaries easements and other relevant information
• Preparing reports on survey findings for clients or project managers
• Maintaining surveying equipment by cleaning calibrating and storing it properly
• Assisting with the maintenance of field notes and records
• Collaborating with team members to ensure accurate data collection and analysis
• Adhering to safety standards at all times while working on job sites

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent additional education or certification in surveying is preferred
• Prior experience working as a surveyor assistant is an asset but not required
• Familiarity with surveying techniques equipment and terminology is preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods of time
• Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy equipment up to 50 lbs
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record data
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report preparation
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
