Senior OCI Engineer – Lead Tech Consultancy (On-Site Role)

Location: Muscat, Oman. Visa, Relocation, Annual flight tickets and Healthcare support provided

Employment Type: Full-time | On-site

We are partnering with a leading technology organization to recruit an experienced Senior Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Engineer. This role will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing secure and scalable OCI environments, leading cloud initiatives, and providing expert technical support across complex enterprise cloud projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and manage OCI services including compute, storage, networking, security, and database platforms.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of cloud projects — from requirements gathering and solution design to deployment and handover.
• Implement IaC using Terraform/OCI Resource Manager and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident management.
• Ensure security best practices across IAM, encryption, network policies, and compliance frameworks.
• Monitor performance, optimize cloud costs, and perform capacity planning.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and SOPs.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders.
• Participate in on-call support rotations when required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of cloud engineering experience, including minimum 3+ years in OCI.
• Hands-on expertise with: OCI services (Compute, Storage, VCN, IAM, Load Balancing, DB services, etc.)
• Terraform / IaC & automation
• Scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• CI/CD tools
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, HA and DR architecture.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, and log management tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in enterprise environments.
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management capability.
• OCI Architect certification(s) highly preferred.
