Job summary

SOHAR in Oman seeks an IT Applications Technical Lead to drive the applications roadmap, oversee development, integration and BI reporting, and ensure service levels and security compliance. You will mentor the applications team and coordinate with vendors to deliver on time and to quality standards.

The role requires five+ years of experience in applications development and digitalization, with strong knowledge of ERP, cloud/SaaS, .NET/C#, Java, APIs, and database systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems or a related field.
• Professional certification in software development, cloud platforms, Agile/Scrum or ITIL is preferable.
• Minimum five years’ experience in developing, maintaining and integrating business applications.
• At least three years as an IT technical lead or team lead of an applications team or digitalization unit.
• Excellent knowledge of enterprise business applications (ERP).
• Fluent in Arabic and English both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical input to the Digitalization Manager on applications roadmap, priorities and IT yearly plan.
• Coach and guide applications team members and ensure design and quality reviews.
• Lead the technical planning of IT applications projects and supervise their implementation.
• Ensure applications support is delivered within SLAs to achieve user/customer satisfaction.
• Lead the technical delivery of assigned IT applications projects within scope, schedule and quality.
• Coordinate with vendors’ development teams and review their activities against standards.
• Define the testing approach and ensure testing is completed before UAT and release.
