Job summary

Qualifications

• Substantial experience of full-time English teaching in tertiary education.
• Ability to analyse language and provide constructive feedback on spoken and written work.
• Experience with IT in teaching, including VLEs such as Moodle.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver up to 16 hours of English teaching per week.
• Provide English support to first-year undergraduate students.
• Create and mark English assessments.
• Moderate English exams when required.
• Provide academic advising sessions.
• Administrative duties related to teaching assessment standardisation, moderation, and meetings.
• Manage the English Moodle site.
• Oversee English support for students needing remedial help.
• Represent the University locally and regionally at recruitment events as needed.
• Liaise with senior leadership and academic staff; undertake other duties as required.
