Job summary

ANZUK Education seeks a SENDCO for an outstanding British international school in Muscat, Oman, starting August 2026. The post is a two-year contract (renewable) with accommodation included and a tax-free salary package.

The role leads the SEND team, develops policy, trains staff, and ensures high-quality SEN provision across KG1–Grade 12. international experience with English language learners is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating SEND programmes and teams.
• Knowledge of strategies for supporting students with SEND.
• Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the school's SEND policy and strategy in alignment with local regulations and best practices.
• Lead and manage the SEND team, including classroom assistants and support staff.
• Provide guidance and training to teachers on best practices for supporting students with SEND.
• Ensure compliance with SEND-related legislation and school policies in Oman.
• Support diagnostic assessment to identify learning needs and provide targeted interventions.
• Deliver individual and small group lessons to meet learning needs.
• Manage the SEN budget to allocate resources effectively.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject

UK PGCE or qualification with UK QTS

3+ years post-qualifying teaching experience

Experience with English National Curriculum
