Job Summary

The International Electrician is primarily responsible for the electrical safety and integrity of the operations and to ensure the continual function of electrical equipment on H&P rigs. This position provides an opportunity to help build and shape H&P’s culture and share your passion for H&P by delivering electrical leadership developmental workshops; coaching H&P leaders in the field; working with a talented team to develop consistent electrical solutions and training others in H&P on maintenance best practices.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates core values and safety standards according to the H&P way
• Ensures the safe electrical operation of the drill rig, related equipment and personnel that use electrical equipment as part of their regular duties
• Evaluates electrical problems and takes corrective action
• Conducts safety inspection of electrical components, making repairs and adjustments as needed
• Installs new equipment, retrofits, and upgrades, and ensures the installed equipment is operating properly and compliant with Saudi Arabia electrical standards
• Orders all electrical parts and ensures adequate stock of parts are available
• Coordinates preventative maintenance and repairs of electrical equipment
• Leads job related JSA and Compass Card Meetings
• Demonstrates commitment to H&P’s Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and C.A.R.E. processes (COACH people-based safety, Compass Cards, LifeBelts, JSAs, hotwork, confined space entry, lock-out/tag-out, dropped object prevention, etc.) with a proven track record of compliance
• Completes Expert level of the BOP training in Workday
• Is up to date on current Workday trainings as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Minimum education, experience, technical, communication skill levels, licenses/certificates normally required to perform the duties of this position
• Must understand and use H&P’s Permitted Operations Management System (POMS)
• Demonstrates knowledge of Rig Electrical System Safety & Reliability Guidelines
• Thorough knowledge of H&P HSE Standards and Guidelines, with emphasis on Section 59, Rig Crew Maintenance – Electrical Safety
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Demonstrates the ability to enter thorough service reports into E.A.M.
• Ability to demonstrate advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to timely complete preventative maintenance procedures
• Ensures compliance with all relevant H&P policies
• Personally complies with all Company policies and procedures and sets an example for others to follow
• Understands and applies local, territory, state and federal statutory obligations
• In conjunction with site management, is responsible for implementing safety and security measures for protection of personnel against electrical injury or near miss
• Provides regular updates and reports and works closely with site management
• Ability to consult with crews in order to optimize safety and productivity outcomes
• Willingness to learn and apply relevant Saudi legislation as it pertains to drilling, electrical standards, HSE obligations and expectations, reporting, audit

Requirements

• Level 1 Electric with 3+ years’ experience as H&P Electric
• Previous experience working in indigenous environments
• Must have completed the Expert Electrical Workday Certification training
