Job Summary
A well-established FMCG trading company in Oman is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to lead and expand its sales operations across the Sultanate. The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to the Oman retail and hypermarket sector, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to achieve sales growth while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies and business plans to achieve company targets.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with key retail, wholesale, and hypermarket accounts
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of sales executives, supervisors, and merchandisers to ensure high performance and accountability.
- Monitor and ensure in-store visibility, brand activation, planogram compliance, and promotional execution.
- Conduct regular market visits with sales teams by area to identify new opportunities, improve coverage, and ensure proper market execution.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and customer insights to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Coordinate closely with supply chain, marketing, and finance teams to ensure smooth operations, stock availability, and efficient order processing.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports with performance analysis and actionable insights.
- Drive listing and expansion of new SKUs and brands into major retail channels.
- Negotiate and manage trade terms, promotions, and shelf space agreements with key accounts.
- Ensure the sales team follows collection targets, credit control, and company policies.
- Maintain a strong market presence and represent the company in trade shows, exhibitions, and business meetings.

Requirements
- Minimum 5–7 years of FMCG sales experience in Oman (at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role).
- Proven track record in dealing with major hypermarkets and retail chains.
- Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent understanding of FMCG distribution, merchandising, and route-to-market models.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM/sales reporting tools.
- Must be self-driven, target-oriented, and capable of leading a multicultural team.
- Valid Oman driving license is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
