The tasks you'll perform
- Ensuring compliance with the project-specific requirements and current industry work codes and standards;
- Assisting with the creation, implementation and maintenance of project-specific procedures, work practices, plans and protocols to enable improved efficiency;
- Assisting with project control activities, including scheduling, forecasting and other deliverables to a consistently high standard;
- Providing advice and guidance on the application of the Quality Management System with respect to Client contract requirements to Project Management;
- Monitoring quality performance and providing reports to the project team and management of Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities where required;
- Preparation, implementation and maintenance of project quality plans, ensuring that all contractual quality requirements are effectively communicated and met;
- Carrying out assigned project activities, including site engineer duties, in a manner that prioritises safety, environment, community and industrial relations;
- Participating in the Project quality management process, including carrying out inspections at vendor’s premises and review of vendor quality documentation;
- Providing mentoring and identifying avenues of professional development and succession planning for personnel within your business unit.
The expertise you'll bring
- 5+ years of post-graduate experience in Project/Field Engineering, ideally working on Mineral Processing Plants or similar capital projects.
- Tertiary qualification in engineering, welding, material science, construction management or business management;
- Experience with bulk materials handling machines (e.g. stackers/reclaimers/ship loaders) will be highly regarded;
- The following qualifications will be highly regarded but are not essential:
- Qualifications relating to implementation and management of an ISO 9001 QMS;
- Welding supervisor or inspector qualification to suit AS/NZS 1554.1 requirements;
- NACE II coating inspector qualification.
