A leading cruise line company is seeking a Public Health Officer to monitor health and sanitation standards on board. Applicants must have a degree in Public Health or a related field, along with two years of shipboard or three years of shoreside experience in public health programs. Strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in English are essential. This role offers a unique opportunity to ensure the well-being of guests and crew while traveling to diverse destinations.
Public Health Officers on cruise ships monitor and enforce health and sanitation standards and ensure compliance with public health regulations to protect guests and crew.
a degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, Sanitary Engineering, Medical & Biological sciences, or closely related fields.
Two years of shipboard experience or three years of full-time shoreside experience in implementing, overseeing, or auditing public health programs.
Knowledge of infection control practices and Vessel Sanitation Standards.
USPH Vessel Sanitation Program Certification; Infection Control Certification, SHIPSAN certification, training, potable water, recreational water facility or IPM certification or qualifications preferred.
Strongly recommended.
Required both spoken and written.
Good typing skills are required.
Required experience with health IT systems.
Outstanding interpersonal, and communication skills to deliver high levels of patient satisfaction.
