Project Manager - Smart City Solutions will play a critical role in driving the planning, execution, and management of innovative smart city projects. This position requires a blend of leadership, technical expertise, project management, and stakeholder engagement to implement solutions that enhance urban living standards, sustainability, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive roadmap for smart city initiatives, aligned with organizational and municipal goals.
- Stay updated on global trends, technologies, and best practices in smart cities and apply them to projects.
Project Management:
- Plan, oversee, and execute smart city projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including urban planners, IT professionals, engineers, and external vendors.
- Monitor project performance and deliverables using key metrics and tools.
Technology and Innovation:
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (IoT, AI, Big Data, GIS, etc.) to enhance urban infrastructure and services.
- Implement smart city solutions in areas like energy management, traffic systems, public safety, waste management, and citizen engagement.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between government bodies, private partners, technology providers, and local communities.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Oversee the integration of data analytics platforms for real-time monitoring and decision-making.
- Utilize data to identify trends, improve services, and ensure resource efficiency.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure that all projects comply with legal, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of professionals to deliver high-impact results.
- Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Key Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in smart city projects, urban planning, or technology-driven infrastructure development.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in IoT, AI, cloud computing, GIS, and other smart city technologies.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
- Understanding of smart city ecosystems, including energy, transportation, waste, and citizen engagement platforms.
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders.

Certifications (preferred):
