We are seeking a Project Engineer (Mechanical/MEP) with at least five (5) years of proven experience in executing MEP works, particularly in water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The candidate should possess strong technical, coordination, and project management skills with hands‑on experience in site activities, documentation, and client interfacing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage mechanical and MEP works for water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and associated infrastructure.
- Prepare and review mechanical designs, shop drawings, and as‑built drawings using AutoCAD and other related softwares.
- Develop and monitor Method Statements (MAS), work schedules, and project progress reports.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct technical meetings, site inspections, and progress reviews with stakeholders.
- Ensure proper installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment such as pumps, valves, piping systems, and instrumentation connections.
- Manage material submittals, procurement follow‑ups, and quality control for all mechanical components.
- Support in quantity take‑offs, BOQ preparation, and project documentation as per specifications.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines, safety standards, and QA/QC requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP or water/wastewater projects.
- Strong knowledge of pumping systems, piping layouts, and mechanical installations.
- Proficient in AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit or other MEP design tools is an advantage.
- Capable of preparing Method Statements, technical documentation, and reports.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Proven experience in client handling and technical correspondence.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills to meet project deadlines.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior involvement in sewage treatment plants (STP), water treatment plants (WTP), pumping stations, or similar infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with MEP coordination, site execution, and commissioning activities.
- Experience working under consultant and utility authority supervision (e.g., Nama Water Services, Haya, or equivalent).
