Job Description

Job purpose Lead the development and execution of OQEP's Investor Relations and Stakeholder Management strategy under the direction of the Head of Investor Relations, serving as the trusted interface between OQEP and its investors, bondholders, analysts, rating agencies and other capital-market stakeholders. The role builds and sustains strong, transparent and value-adding relationships with the investment community, ensuring timely, accurate and consistent communication of OQEP's financial performance, strategy, ESG narrative and regulatory disclosures. It manages key capital-market disclosures, investor targeting programmes, roadshows, analyst outreach and rating agency engagement while providing strategic insight to senior leadership on market sentiment, peer positioning, share price drivers and investor expectations. The position acts as a trusted advisor by translating complex financial, operational and ESG information into clear, credible messaging that strengthens investor confidence, protects OQEP's market reputation and supports long-term shareholder value. Through disciplined stakeholder engagement, structured investor communications and continuous improvement of IR processes and systems, the role enhances transparency, governance and OQEP's standing in local and international capital markets. The position will act in accordance with the OQEP s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines, and international standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, QHSE & Energy Management System requirements standards, Omani s government & other legal justifications, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Investors Relations and Stakeholder Management:

  • executives, department heads, and investors.
  • Present business information in engaging and informative ways, such as dashboards, reports, and presentations.
  • Partner with business units to understand their needs and objectives.
  • Worked on managing and fostering finance processes and initiatives towards process automation and leaning the processes.

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities, and communicate these insights to stakeholders.

  • Stay up-to-date on current business trends and regulations.

Stakeholder Management:

  • You'd build relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to understand their financial needs and concerns. This could include investors, creditors, customers, suppliers, and even employees.

Project Management:

  • There could be a project management aspect, ensuring financial tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintain and cultivate relationships with domestic and international banks, investors, and credit rating agencies to develop and implement funding strategies.
  • Stay updated regarding the latest financial and economic news for the country and the region.
  • Prepare presentations for current and potential investors.
  • Promote and encourage the continuous learning and development among team members including knowledge sharing ac vi es.
  • Ensure work quality standards and deadlines are met.

Reporting :

  • Critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, on key drivers behind the numbers and agree on comments to be incorporated into the reports
  • Contribute to the monthly group reporting.
  • Continuously improve Business Reporting and Monitoring capabilities, processes, procedures, practices and systems.
  • Design & implement Group-level reports using contemporary business dashboard/scorecard solutions.
  • Design and develop Data Base for meeting the reporting requirements of the Management in order to make informed decisions.
  • Own and maintain reporting calendar.
  • Ensure that reports are delivered on time with agreed content

Key interactions

  • Internal: Relevant functions under chief executives (CFO, COO, CCO, and general Counsel) and JV and Operated Assets teams.
  • External: equity and fixed income analyst, MSX, FSA and relevant investment community

Notable Working Conditions: Office environment, intensive computer screen use, periodic capital-market reporting deadlines (quarterly results, annual report, disclosures), and occasional international travel and after-hours work to support investor roadshows, conference calls, capital markets days, rating agency meetings and time-zone-sensitive investor engagements.

Education requirements:

Language: Fluent proficiency in both Arabic and English, including advanced business writing and investor presentations.

Background and experience:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, preferable previous experiences working in oil and gas company.
  • 3+ years experiences working in corporate finance and/or capital market environment
  • Have a good capability to analyse and interpret consolidated financial statements.
  • Experienced in developing high-quality management reports and investor-focused presentations.
  • Able to act as coordinator for multiple team (internal and external)
  • Solid understanding of sustainability related topics and frameworks.
  • Have knowledge to evaluate business plans and sustainability indicators.

  • Demonstrated track record of working closely with IR functions, senior management, and external investors.
  • Proven achievements in IR (e.g., investor engagement, disclosures, or overall IR effectiveness).
  • Experience interaction with institutional investors and analysts.
