Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Power Gen Mechanic in Oman (Dhofar region) to operate, maintain, test and repair electrical generating equipment and related systems. The role involves troubleshooting, inspections, and documentation in a strict QMS environment, with potential TDYs to support USAF/Amentum tasking.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or equivalent, basic English, and experience with high/low voltage generators. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Must understand, speak, read and write English at a beginner level.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with high/low voltage generators and load testing desired.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair electrical generating equipment and power distribution systems.
• Operate test equipment and meters (voltmeter, ammeter, oscilloscope).
• Ensure compliance with PWS and Amentum QMS and safety standards.
• Prepare documentation and update work orders and MAXIMO records.
• May TDY to support USAF/Amentum tasks and real-world exercises.
