Job summary

Avanta Works in Al Buraymi, Oman, is seeking an experienced Mason to join the team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a track record of bricklaying, tiling and plastering, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include measuring and cutting materials, laying bricks with mortar, tiling floors and walls, plastering surfaces, and repairing existing structures to meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in masonry.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans.
• Proficient in using hand tools such as trowels, levels, and hammers.
• Basic understanding of construction materials and techniques.
• Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy materials.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be legally allowed to work in Oman (visa sponsorship available).

Responsibilities

• Measuring and cutting materials accurately according to project specifications.
• Laying bricks using mortar or other adhesives.
• Tiling floors and walls using ceramic or stone tiles.
• Plastering walls and ceilings using cement or other materials.
• Repairing existing structures by replacing damaged bricks or tiles.
• Ensuring all work is done in a timely manner and meets quality standards.
