Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
Experience in library setting preferred.
Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with Dewey Decimal System and cataloging methods.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Provide assistance and guidance to library patrons in locating and accessing information.
Manage circulation desk duties including checking materials in and out, collecting fines, and registering new users.
Maintain accurate records of library transactions.
Organize and catalog new materials using the Dewey Decimal System.
Assist with collection development by recommending new materials for purchase.
Plan and conduct programs and events for library users such as storytimes or book clubs.
Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phone calls and responding to emails.
