Job summary

Avanta Works in Al Buraymi, Oman is seeking a Part-Time Excavator Operator to join our team. You will safely operate an excavator to dig trenches, load trucks, and support various earth-moving projects on site.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of hands-on experience with heavy equipment, holds a valid driver's license, and can work independently with attention to detail in a busy construction environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience operating an excavator or similar heavy equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Physically fit and able to stand/sit for long periods of time.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavator and other heavy equipment according to safety regulations and company policies.
• Read and interpret construction plans to determine the best approach for each project.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment, such as greasing, oil changes, and inspections.
• Use hand signals and communicate with ground crew to ensure safe movement of the machine on job site.
• Keep accurate records of time spent on each project and any issues encountered.
• Follow proper procedures for loading/unloading materials onto trucks or into designated areas.
• Adhere to strict safety guidelines at all times to prevent accidents or injuries.
