Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Oracle DB environments on OCI.
• Provide 24/7 offshore production and business-hours non-production support.
• Install, configure, monitor, tune, and troubleshoot databases.
• Manage Forms & Reports Server and APEX environments.
• Configure ORDS, web servers, and application servers for APEX.
• Design and maintain backup, recovery, and DR strategies.
• Perform health checks, capacity planning, and quarterly upgrades.
• Lead root-cause analysis and deliver optimization recommendations.
• Prepare health reports and support development teams with guidance.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Database Administrator to manage and support mission-critical Oracle environments hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The ideal candidate will be responsible for database administration, Oracle Forms & Reports, Oracle APEX administration, performance optimization, security, backup and recovery, and 24/7 production support to ensure maximum system availability and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Oracle Database environments hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Provide 24/7 offshore production support and business-hours support for non-production environments.
• Perform database installation, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Manage Oracle Forms & Reports Server administration and ensure optimal system performance.
• Administer Oracle APEX environments, including workspace management, application support, and version upgrades.
• Configure and manage Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS), web servers, and application servers supporting APEX.
• Design, implement, and maintain database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Perform database restoration and recovery while ensuring business continuity and data integrity.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, system health assessments, performance optimization, and capacity planning.
• Execute quarterly patching activities and system upgrades.
• Perform root cause analysis for production issues and provide technical recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Prepare database health reports with performance and optimization recommendations.
• Support development teams with database-related technical guidance.
• Deliver cloud platform training sessions and provide knowledge transfer during implementation activities.
• Provide on-demand technical support via telephone and email.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience administering Oracle Database on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including Oracle Database Cloud Service (DBCS/PaaS).
• Strong expertise in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
• Hands-on experience with Oracle WebLogic Server.
• Experience administering Oracle Forms & Reports Server.
• Strong experience with Oracle APEX administration.
• Experience with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS).
• Solid knowledge of Oracle Linux administration.
• Experience with KVM virtualization environments.
• Strong understanding of backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high availability concepts.
• Expertise in database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Experience conducting system health checks and performance optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work within a 24/7 production support environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) – Database Administrator.
• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Certifications.
• Experience supporting enterprise or government environments.

Pay: RO1,000,000 - RO1,300,000 per month
