Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Neuro Science or Nursing with Neuroscience certification.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience, preferably in the same area.
• Strong knowledge of non-invasive neurodiagnostic tests.

Responsibilities

• Perform neuro diagnostic procedures including EEG and NCS.
• Prepare and assist patients for procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and initiate emergency measures.
• Adhere to infection control principles.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality; document procedures.
• Assist Neurologist in NCS and EMG; operate neuro machines and report malfunctions.
• Monitor patient vital signs; initiate emergency measures if needed.
• Maintain stock, schedule patients to avoid delays, and document charges.
• Provide post‑procedure care and ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Attend trainings and meetings; participate in patient-centered care initiatives.

Job Purpose / Objective

Help diagnose and treat neurological diseases and disorders, perform non‑invasive neurological tests on patients as directed by a physician using different electro‑neuro diagnostic equipment. Neuro tech frequently use an electroencephalogram (EEG) machine which monitors and records brain patterns.

Help diagnose and treat neurological diseases and disorders, perform non-invasive neurological tests on patients as directed by a physician using different electro‑neuro diagnostic equipment. Neuro tech frequently use an electroencephalogram (EEG) machine which monitors and records brain patterns.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

• Performing Neuro diagnostic procedures:
  • Electroencephalography (EEG)
  • Nerve conduction studies (NCS)
  • Other Neurology procedures
• Prepare and assist patient to be prepared for the prescribed procedure.
• Explain and provide the required education to patient and family.
• Adhere to infection control principles.
• Adhere to JCIA / CBAHI standards to ensure patient safety.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Adhere to documentation policy.
• Assist the Neurologist in performing NCS (Neuro Conduction Study) and Electromyography (EMG).
• Operate and manage neuro machine and report any malfunction.
• Answer all patient/family queries.
• Monitor patient vital signs.
• Initiate emergency measures and call for help.
• Maintain stock supplies and order on time.
• Maintain proper record of the procedures for charges purposes.
• Schedule the patients to avoid delaying and patient unsatisfaction.
• Perform portable procedure for in-patient / other department.
• Ensure proper care in the use of the machine and supplies.
• Provide post‑procedure care and ensure patient is comfortable and safe.
• Attend the education and training session.
• Attend meeting as needed.
• Participate in person‑centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.
• Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect and dignity.
• Perform any delegated task by Charge Nurse within the realm of knowledge, skills and ability.

Requirements

Education / Professional Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Neuro Science or Nursing with Neuroscience certification.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience, preferably in the same area.
