Job summary

Zenith HR Solutions is sourcing a senior Mechanical Project Engineer for a leading EPC client in the Sultanate of Oman. The role focuses on executing mechanical packages, scheduling, site coordination and contractor management in Minerals & Mining and related industries.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in mechanical project execution, strong planning and progress monitoring capabilities, and experience with GCC/Oman projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of mechanical engineering and project execution experience.
• Strong background in Minerals & Mining, Mineral Processing, Metals or heavy EPC projects.
• Proven skills in project management, planning, scheduling and progress monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical packages throughout project lifecycle.
• Oversee equipment installation and erection activities on site.
• Develop and maintain project schedules; monitor progress and critical paths.
• Coordinate across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning teams.
• Direct contractor management and site coordination to ensure safety, quality and on-time completion.
• Utilize Primavera P6 or MS Project for scheduling and reporting.

Our client is a leading industrial EPC organisation in Oman, specialising in heavy industrial projects across sectors such as Minerals & Mining, Mineral Processing, Metals and related industries.

Role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer with a minimum of 15 years of experience in mechanical project execution, project management and planning. The candidate will be responsible for managing mechanical packages, equipment installation and erection, project scheduling, site coordination, contractor management, progress monitoring, and ensuring timely project completion in line with quality and HSE standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 15 years of relevant mechanical engineering and project execution experience.
• Strong experience in Minerals & Mining, Mineral Processing, Beneficiation, Pelletizing, Metals or heavy industrial EPC projects.
• Proven experience in project management, planning, scheduling and progress monitoring.
• Experience in mechanical equipment installation, erection and contractor management.
• Strong coordination skills across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning teams.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 or MS Project is preferred.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• GCC/Oman project experience is an advantage.
• Candidates preferable below 40 years of age.
