Cheltenham Muscat in Muscat, Oman, invites applications for a Teacher of Maths to start in August 2026. There is potential to undertake the role of Acting Head of Department during maternity cover.

The successful candidate will help establish the Maths Department as the leading school in Oman, benefiting from world-class facilities and strong career progression opportunities within a premium British school.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or related subject.
• At least 3 full years of teaching experience to obtain a work permit.
• Exemplary communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to differentiate instruction and build strong relationships with students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a broad, engaging and relevant Mathematics curriculum.
• Develop and maintain a detailed scheme of work with clear aims.
• Contribute to the Maths Department’s development and school initiatives.
• Support safeguarding, pastoral duties and departmental planning where required.
