A mason is responsible for constructing, repairing and maintaining buildings and other structures made of brick, stone or other materials. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in masonry work and be physically fit to handle the demands of the job. Responsibilities

• Measure, cut shape and lay bricks or other types of building blocks
• Mix mortar or grout according to specifications
• Use various tools such as trowels, levels and plumb bobs to ensure accuracy
• Follow blueprints or plans to determine the layout of walls or other structures
• Repair existing structures by replacing damaged bricks or stones
• Install insulation materials like foam or fiberglass in walls or ceilings
• Ensure safety standards are met at all times on the job site
