Job summary

A leading financial institution in Muscat is seeking a Manager for the T24 Core Banking System. This role includes operational management of the Temenos Transact platform, ensuring system stability and alignment with business strategy. The Manager will lead application support teams and manage vendor relationships while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Overview

Job Purpose: The Manager – T24 Core Banking System executes operational management of the Temenos Transact core banking platform. He/ She ensures system stability, governance, and alignment with business strategy while enabling secure and efficient banking operations. The Manager – T24 Core Banking System provides end-to-end accountability for core banking delivery, performance, and continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities
  • Executes the end-to-end accountability for the Temenos Transact (T24) core banking application operation.
  • Executes the core banking roadmap in alignment with business priorities and digital initiatives.
  • Leads functional, technical, integration, DES, and application support teams to ensure effective delivery and system performance.
  • Ensures system changes, upgrades, patches, and version releases are in accordance with governance standards.
  • Manages vendor relationships and coordinates with Temenos and third-party service providers.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory, audit, security, and internal control requirements.
  • Governs system availability, performance, capacity, and operational resilience.
  • Manages major incidents, production issues, and executive-level escalations.
  • Establishes and enforces core banking governance, change management, and release management frameworks.
  • Monitors system risks, dependencies, and control gaps and ensures timely remediation.
  • Reports system performance, KPIs, risks, and improvement initiatives to senior management.
  • Supports strategic initiatives by ensuring core banking readiness and scalability.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in core banking systems within banking environments.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise-scale core banking platforms or critical banking applications.
  • Exposure to Temenos Transact (T24) implementation, upgrade, or production support environments is preferred.
