Job description

Duties And Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous surveillance of people in swimming pools, lakes and oceans.
• Ensure appropriate headcount of people involved in a watersport on an hourly basis.
• Provide safety information to people prior to them indulging in a water sport.
• Supervise swimmers to ensure that they are swimming within the safety protocols.
• Spot hazards or potential hazards and take measures to prevent accidents.
• Control and report unruly behavior and evict individuals not adhering to behavior protocols.
• Ensure that water sports such as beach volleyball and surfing are done within the parameters of set rules and regulation.
• Perform first aid and CPR according to the demands of adverse situations.
• Perform pool chemical checks to ensure safety and hygiene.
• Ensure all equipment is well maintained and in safe condition.
• Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation. My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded.
• Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year experience in a similar luxury spas and health clubs with proven references in CPR, emergency medical procedures and current certification as a Lifeguard by a recognized source of training.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations and skills in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.
• If required I will pass a pre-employment physical skills evaluation as stipulated by the department.
• I have an excellent command of written and spoken English, and I am able to live in a remote location for extended periods of time and travel on single status.
